Problems Assessment
Technology is a great tool that works best when laser-focused on the right problems.
Based on experience in big tech, we use a “Working Backward” methodology, a framework that defines a clear problem or opportunity (for customers or your internal team) before jumping into a desired solution. This helps avoid the temptation to focus on features that are perceived as “fun” or “exciting” internally, but don’t actually solve a problem. We’ll work with you and your team to understand and quantify your specific problems and challenges.
What you get: Up to 6 meetings with your leadership team and employees. A 2-6 page document outlining our findings, reviewed with your full team with recommendations for next steps.
Research and Options
The information you need to make the best decision.
Once we’re aligned on the problems to address, we dive into options. There are typically four options when launching new technology:
Use quick, manual tools (Google Sheets, Smartsheet, etc.)
License off-the-shelf software software without modification.
Customize off-the-shelf software to meet specific needs.
Build your own software tailored to your specific needs.
We’ll evaluate all options to determine which best fit your needs, the financial commitment, and the time to launch.
What you get: As many meetings with your team as needed. A 3-6 page document detailing all options explored and a recommendation for how to move forward.
Product/Project Management
Let us manage your launch so you can focus on what you do best.
Donovan Consulting can manage the development and launch of your preferred option. We’ll work with your team to be your advocate and make sure the project stays on schedule and on budget during the development process.
What you get: Detailed weekly updates on the status of the project, regular meetings with you and your stakeholders for updates on progress and ensuring alignment throughout the process.
